Publish your first AI agent

Create an agent, add a source and verify its first answer on your website.

Build a small setup that you can test. By the end of this guide, your agent should answer a chosen customer question on your website.

You need access to the correct workspace, permission to edit the agent and one current knowledge source. Website installation also requires permission to edit the site.

  1. Open the correct workspace

Sign in to Oma Aihio and check the selected workspace. Create an agent or continue an existing setup. Give it a name you will recognise later.

  2. Add one source

Open Data sources. Add a public help page, for example, or write a Question and answer. Check the saved content: it must contain the answer to your chosen test question.

  3. Update the knowledge base

Select Update knowledge base and wait for completion. Confirm that the source is ready for the agent to use. If processing fails, review the source before continuing.

  4. Define the task and test

Use Instructions to describe what the agent helps with and what it should do when information is missing. Save, then ask your test question and a question the source cannot answer in the preview. Review both answers yourself.

  5. Install and check on the website

When the answers are usable, activate the agent and follow the installation guide . Open the published site in a private browser window and repeat your test question.

First confirm that the source contains the necessary information and that its knowledge update has finished. Correct the source or instructions and test again. A technically working preview does not make an unreliable answer ready for customers.

  • The conversation appears on the website on both a phone and a computer.
  • The main question receives a checked answer.
  • The agent does not promise a service or action you do not offer.
  • Visitors can find another contact method when the agent cannot help.

Keep your knowledge sources current . Saving settings and publishing knowledge are different operations: do not assume every saved change waits for a separate publication.
